Hummer II Revisited
I saw a school-bus yellow Hummer II again today. That’s one sweet vehicle.
My love affair with the Hummer II–from afar, unfortunately–comes as a surprise to my kids because, for the most part, I can’t tell one car from another. They moaned the day I described a several-hundred-thousand-dollar sports car (the name of which, of course, escapes me) as “cute.”
I can spot the distinctive models–Minicoopers, PT Cruisers and such–but all the others kind of blur together. I don’t even know many of the symbols. I recognize the Ford oval and the Cadillac gizzer, but for the most part, I need to read the name to have a clue.
It’s bad. Showing up in a Bentley wouldn’t impress me because I wouldn’t know, and Bentley seems to think nobody needs written assistance.
The sad fact is I just don’t care enough about cars to pay attention.
But that school-bus yellow Hummer II is sweet.
