Tomorrow JoJo Tabares and I will be talking about forgiving foolishly. Nowadays, everybody and their cousin goes around handing out forgiveness like so many lemon drops–and feeling ever so self-righteous in the doing. Well, the Bible has standards, and ignoring them means what you’re actually doing in enabling bad behavior.

The basic rule is this: No repentance=no forgiveness.

Well, what about Jesus saying “Father, forgive them. They don’t know what they’re doing”? We’ll talk about that.

But what are we supposed to do? The Bible says revenge is wrong (that’s God’s prerogative) and holding on to the pain eats us alive. What’s a body to do?
