Two more thing God hates
You know, some people claim the Bible isn’t relevant any more, but by golly, it gets more relevant by the day. Let’s take a second look at Proverbs six’s list of the seven things God detests.
Numbers four and five on the list are “a heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong.”
For the heart that plots evil part, what can be a better fit than somebody who cooks the books at FannieMae to falsely create a huge payday for himself while putting the institution in financial jeopardy. And this in a job he won through political connections, not skill. Like most of the people around him.
And to perfectly exemplify the “feet that race to do wrong” part, we have his Congressional and media cronies rushing to cover up the facts of this theft. They don’t call on him to accept responsibility for his actions, as the Bible requires, but blame others (part of the “lying tongue” section of yesterday’s post) for the mess. Then they rush actions that add to the theft by forcing others to foot the bill while he skates free.
When you get this much bad stuff swirling around, you have a sewer. And it needs to be cleaned up.
Are you really going to vote for the people knee-deep in the cover-up?
Or read the papers and magazines that promote it? Or watch the television “news?”
The grown-ups in flyover country need to take this country back. The only question is whether you choose to be part of the solution or ignore the mess, go in business-as-usual mode and be part of the problem.
What’s really striking is the arrogance of people who believe they can do as they please, dismissing the very thought that they are accountable to God. That’s one surprise party I don’t want to go to.
