• Born to Salvation Army officers (clergy) and raised in The Salvation Army. Given that, life never had a chance to be average.

• Attended ten schools in three states in twelve years

• Put herself through college, graduating as the top student in the University’s College of Business, with a degree in Business Administration

• Worked as an IBM Systems Engineer, a consultant to small businesses and the owner of a software company

• While all that was going on, she also studied and taught in-depth Bible studies to everybody from children to seniors–basically anybody who would listen

• Successfully raised two talented, personable children

• Wrote the book How to be a Christian Without Being Annoying to explain the Bible’s description of what it means to be a Christian.

• Also writes original quotes and offers them in a free weekly e-mail subscription called Quick Takes on Life, available in the column to the right.

• Writes and speaks on living the best life possible by setting goals, daring to reach high, and taking whatever hill is in front of you. To quote her article, “Emotional Strength Through Muscle Building,” “But without striving, life is just so much oatmeal, so we might as well go for it.”

• Currently lives in the Phoenix area
